We are in the process of drafting a roadmap or prospectus as the foundational document to guide and facilitate the development of the next decadal U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Plan. We are interested in seeking input on potential leads and authors to draft the new U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Plan.
These student assistant positions will assist the U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Program Office Director in fulfilling the mission of the U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Program and the Carbon Cycle Interagency Working Group (CCIWG). Our mission is to coordinate and facilitate federally funded carbon cycle research, and provide leadership to the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) on carbon cycle science priorities.
We have been working on supporting and advancing coordination in federal and interagency carbon dioxide removal (CDR) research across terrestrial, oceanic, atmospheric and societal dimensions.
See list of I-CDR-C members and I-CDR-C updates here.
The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) has just published the "Integrated Ocean Carbon Research: A Summary of Ocean Carbon Knowledge and a Vision for Coordinated Ocean Carbon Research and Observations for the Next Decade", a report which sets out to accomplish the vital task of indicating the current gaps and future directions for the integrated ocean carbon cycle research.
Happy Earth day! We just released the Carbon Digest #9: Carbon Research, Open Science Meeting, Informing Implementation + Decisions + Carbon Removal
