We are in the process of editing the 2^nd State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR-2) Fourth-Order Draft in preparation for the Public Comment Period (that will be announced via a Federal Register Notice) and the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Review scheduled to start in November 2017. The Public Comment Period will be 60 days long. The NAS Review will be12 weeks long.

After the Public Comment Period and the formal review by the outside panel of experts of the National Academy of Sciences, the draft will be further revised by the writing team of over 200 authors, and will be subsequently re­viewed and approved for final publication by the USGCRP member agencies as part of the interagency clearance process.
